I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University. I graduated from Auburn University in 2016 with a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and from The University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2017 with an M.S. in Computer Science.
During graduate school, I developed an interest in machine learning and computer vision. My graduate research focused on spatiotemporal dimensionality reduction techniques for convolutional neural networks. I have also performed deep learning-based research for the U.S. Department of Defense. As a member of the Center for Educational Informatics, I am conducting research on deep learning approaches for multimodal learner modeling and affective computing. Outside of research, I enjoy watching Auburn University and NC State athletics, playing sports, and exploring new places in Raleigh.
